About

Pun “DJ PUNisha” Anderson has been a disc jockey since the age of 12. When he first began, it was only for fun in his hometown of Hopewell, Va. His passion came from his mother’s everlasting love for music, she instilled in him at a very young age. His musical inspirations come from such various artist as The Isley’s, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Sade, The Notorious B.I.G., U.G.K., Scarface, and more. After going to college (Norfolk State University), he started taking it a lot more seriously. DJ PUNisha gained his start under “All City Entertainment” where he was mixing music for college students at several on-campus events. It was a great start, but it only made Pun more anxious to expand his craft and passion. Branching out into the club and bar scene, DJ PUNisha had begun to find his niche. He has rocked the 1’s and 2’s at various venues in the Hampton Roads area. Stemming from his background, his particular style is heavily inspired by southern music and upbeat tempos, all while staying current with the latest music from the hottest artists. He’s been blessed to deejay at major concerts that featured Young Jeezy, Trey Songz, Fabolous, PUSHA T, and Fabolous. Furthermore, he’s traveled up and down the East coast building relationships with several other media and entertainment groups and/or persons. DJ PUNisha has more than 20,000 mixtapes in circulation, and has two successful mixtape series(#noPUNintended and “Reminisce”) that fans have grown to love. Through plenty of experiences, especially one where he ended up hospitalized, DJ PUNisha has found that he strives to make his skills a business, not just entertainment. Grinding hard and living everyday as if it’s his last, DJ PUNisha is stopping at nothing to be respected for what he loves!
